Diwali is just around the corner and it seems that the festivities have already begun in Bollywood. Celebrity designer Manish Malhotra threw a Diwali bash at his residence in Mumbai on October 22. The bash was attended by B-town celebrities including Rekha, Varun Dhawan, the Kapoor sisters—Janhvi and Khushi, Alia Bhatt, Suhana Khan, Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, Ananya Panday and Karan Johar. Pictures from the star-studded celebration are doing the rounds on the internet. Now, some unseen photographs from the event show Janhvi Kapoor holding hands with her longtime beau Shikhar Pahariya as they posed for a group picture.
In the picture, Janhvi and Shikhar could be seen posing with Karan Johar, Suhana Khan and Isha Ambani. Bringing Manish Malhotra’s sequin game to the party, the Devara star decked up in a pre-draped saree. She paired it with a matching blouse and added a sparkling statement to her Diwali party look. Shikhar Pahariya, on the other hand, looked dashing in a traditional kurta with a floral print.
Earlier, Janhvi Kapoor subtly confirmed her happiness in her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya. During her appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show alongside her Mr & Mrs Mahi co-star Rajkummar Rao, host Kapil Sharma playfully teased the actress about her connection with Shikhar, prompting her to share her joyful sentiment without directly addressing the topic.
He asked Janhvi, “Aap same interest wale life partner ko choose karna pasand karengi ya jis Shikhar par aap hain aap ussi mein khush hai? (Does she want to choose a life partner with similar interests or is she happy with her current boyfriend?) The actress smiled and replied, “Jis bhi Shikhar par main hoon wahan bahut khush hoon.”
In a previous conversation with Mirchi Plus, Janhvi expressed, “He (Shikhar Pahariya) has been in my life since I was 15-16. I think my dreams have always been his dreams, and his dreams have always been my dreams. We’ve been very close. We’ve been each other’s support system, almost as if we’ve raised each other.”
Reportedly, Janhvi Kapoor and Shikhar Pahariya were previously in a serious relationship before parting ways. However, the couple reconciled last year.
