Mammootty To Play Prabhas' Father In Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Spirit? What We Know

The pre-production of the film Spirit is yet to start, but there is already significant buzz surrounding it among the fans. After Kalki 2898 AD received massive success, people are eagerly waiting for the upcoming film starring Prabhas in the leading role. Recently, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga mentioned that the film will go on floors starting in November or December after the script is completed.

According to several reports, the director is presently working to finalise the case of the film. Names of famous actresses like Rashmika Mandanna and Katrina Kaif are being reportedly considered for the role of the female lead. There is another exciting rumour that was widely shared on the Internet, which states that popular actor Mammootty is set to join the cast of Spirit. It also states that the Mammootty might play the role of Prabhas’s father.

A post regarding this was also shared on X (formerly Twitter) from a handle named BFilmy Official. It states that director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has approached Mammootty for the role of Prabhas’s father. The post also states that popular actress Kareena Kapoor is set to play the female villain role in the film. However, the makers are yet to announce the names of the cast.

According to an earlier report, Sandeep Reddy Vanga has reportedly completed the maximum part of the script. In an interview with Galatta Plus, he said, “I have completed 60 per cent of the script and I have to start the shooting by November or December. I think the process of making this film will be faster as I have been working on it for a while now. But compared to the other films, it will be a faster process.”

Prabhas currently has several exciting projects lined up. Some of his upcoming works are Kannappa, The Raja Saab, Fauji (II), Salaar 2 and Ravanam. He has also reportedly signed a project with director Srikanth Odela. The title of it is yet to be announced.
