Yash’s KGF Chapter 2 has won big at the 70th National Awards 2024. Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF 2 won in the Best Kannada Film and Best Action Direction (Stunt Choreography) categories in the Feature Films section. Additionally, Anbariv received the Best Action Direction award.

KGF Chapter 2 was released on April 14, 2022, in Kannada, with dubbed versions available in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam. KGF revolves around the life of Rocky (played by Yash), who, after losing his mother to poverty at a young age, becomes powerful and ultimately takes control of the gold mines in Kolar Gold Fields. In the second part, Rocky (played by Yash) faces greater risks. Despite building a strong empire, he has many enemies, including Adheera (Sanjay Dutt), who want to defeat him and reclaim KGF. However, Rocky’s name instils fear in his enemies and poses a threat to the government.

Apart from KGF Chapter 2, the Best Feature Film award went to Aattam, while Kantara received the award for Best Popular Film. The Best Telugu Film award was won by Kartikeya 2, and Ponniyin Selvan – Part 1 was recognised as the Best Tamil Film.
