Kangana Ranaut Says Opposition Invites Her to Sit with Them in Parliament: 'Aap Humari Bhi Heroine Ho'
Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut says that even members of the Opposition show her love, often inviting her to join them at their table in Parliament.

At the trailer launch of her upcoming film Emergency in Mumbai, Kangana Ranaut revealed that even the Opposition shows her love and respect and frequently invites her to join them at their table in the Parliament.

Speaking about the sessions at the Parliament, Kangana said, “Aap janata ko dekhiye, ab main kis se shikayat karoon? As a politician mujhe itna har jagah pyaar milta hai. Chahe Maharashtra mein dekho, mujhe itna pyaar milta hai. Main Parliament mein jaati hoon, mujhe opposition ke log kitna pyaar karte hain, yeh dekh ke main itni hairaan hoti hoon. Mujhe bitha lete hain apne table pe, uthne nahin dete. Aate hain, aap hamari bhi heroine ho, humne aapki filmein dekhi hain. Aate hain, wahan nahin, is table pe nahin baithna, is table pe baithwa (Look at the people. Who should I complain to? As a politician, I receive so much love everywhere. Whether I’m in Maharashtra or in Parliament, I’m amazed by the affection even from the opposition. They invite me to their table, insist I stay, and tell me they consider me their heroine and have watched my films).

Kangana wonders if her own party members will feel bad if she sits with the Opposition. She said, “Main sochti hoon ki kaisa lagega ki main apni party ke logon ke saath nahin baith ke hamesha opposition wale mujhe apne table pe bitha kar rakhte hain, hamesha humein filmein ke baare mein baat karte rahte hain. Ab mere Mandi ka election main jeeti, pahaadon mein mujhe itna pyaar milta hai logon se (I find it strange that I often sit with the opposition instead of my own party members, talking about movies. Even after winning the election in the market area, the love I receive from people in the hills is overwhelming)

Kangana Ranaut, who made her debut in politics on a BJP ticket, won Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections this year. Ranaut won big in Mandi as the BJP candidate, beating Congress’s Vikramaditya Singh by 72,088 votes.

Kangana Ranaut’s directorial Emergency will release on September 6. Kangana announced the film in 2021 but later clarified that even though it is a political drama, it is not Indira Gandhi’s biopic. The actress is not just playing the lead in the film but is also directing it.

Besides Kangana, Emergency also stars Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry and Shreyas Talpade among others. While Shreyas Talpade will be seen playing the role of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Anupam Kher will be seen as Jayaprakash Narayan. Late actor Satish Kaushik will also be seen as Former Deputy Prime Minister of India, Jagjivan Ram.
