Kangana Ranaut BREAKS Silence on 'Shameful' Rumours About Her Eating Beef: 'I'm a Proud Hindu...'
Kangana Ranaut issued a statement clarifying Congress leader's claims that she once said she ate beef.

Kangana Ranaut addressed claims that she eats beef and other red meat. The actress, who recently turned politician, clarified that she does not eat red meat and called the rumoured ‘baseless.’ She also slammed those who are spreading misinformation about her. Kangana’s reaction came after Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar claimed she had in the past stated she ate beef.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kangana called the claims ‘shameful’ and added that people are trying to tarnish her image. “I don’t consume beef or any other kind of red meat, it is shameful that completely baseless rumours are being spread about me, I have been advocating and promoting yogic and Ayurvedic way of life for decades now, such tactics won’t work to tarnish my image. My people know me and they know that I am a proud Hindu and nothing can ever mislead them, Jai Shri Ram,” Kangana Ranaut wrote.

Last week, Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar claimed that Kangana had shared a post on X in which she said she liked and ate beef. BJP leader Shaina NC criticised Wadettiwar’s comments. “Vijay Wadettiwar is the leader of the Congress party in Maharashtra who is so defunct of ideology that he has the audacity to say that Kangana Ranaut was given a ticket because she is a beef eater. This is not the first time the Congress has made such ludicrous comments,” she said. She also claimed tht the Congress was ‘anti-women’ and cited MP Randeep Surjewala’s comments about Hema Malini.

Meanwhile, Kangana joined BJP last month. She was named as the BJP candidate in Mandi. Speaking about her decision to join politics, Kangana told Hindustan Times, “Joining politics had been on my mind for the past few years. People gave me so much success and it was time to fight for their welfare. From raising issues of pay parity and women empowerment, the time has now come to fight a bigger battle for the people. For this, I needed a larger platform and it was natural for me to align with the BJP.” She has been busy campaigning since she became the political candidate.
