According to a report by Daily Mail, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s 15-year-old daughter, previously known as Seraphina Rose, has recently come out as transgender. They made their debut with the new name, Fin, at the memorial service for Jennifer’s father, William John Garner, held at a church in West Virginia. Sporting a black tuxedo and a buzz cut, Fin introduced themselves during the memorial by saying, “Hello, my name is Fin Affleck.”
This year, Seraphina revealed her new haircut, marking her first public introduction with her new name. Ben and Jennifer share three children: Violet Anne Affleck, aged 19, Seraphina, and Samuel Garner Affleck, aged 12. Despite divorcing in 2015, they remain committed to co-parenting. In 2022, Ben tied the knot with actor-singer Jennifer Lopez.
Jennifer’s father, William John Garner, passed away at 85 on April 2. Jennifer announced his death on Instagram and wrote that there’s gratitude in her heart, despite the unavoidable grief she was going through. William, a chemical engineer for Union Carbide, died over the Easter weekend.“My dad passed peacefully Saturday afternoon. We were with him, singing Amazing Grace as he left us (did we carry him across or scare him away— valid question.) While there is no tragedy in the death of an 85-year-old man who lived a healthy, wonderful life, I know grief is unavoidable, waiting around unexpected corners. Today is for gratitude,” Jennifer wrote.
The 51-year-old actor expressed gratitude for her father’s gentle demeanour, his playful teasing and his role as a patient ‘girl dad. “For how he teased with a mischievous smile, and for the way he invented the role of all in, ever patient girl dad. We are grateful for his work ethic, leadership and faith,” she added.
