stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in the lead role. The film also features Ganesh Venkatram, Madhunandan, and Jabardasth Phani in supporting roles. This is Anil Katz’s debut as a director. Ahead of the release of the project, Anil interacted with the media and spoke about the project.

During an interview with the media, Anil Katz revealed why he decided to choose Sabari as the title of his debut film. Talking about Sabari’s journey, he mentioned, “The idea for Sabari came to me about 4-5 years ago. It stemmed from the concept of something becoming life-threatening when loved to the fullest. It is a mother-daughter drama that will captivate viewers.”

He added that the film’s title came from the Ramayana, where Sabari waited for Lord Ram to arrive and meet her for years. He further added that just as Sabari’s love for Lord Rama was eternal and pure, Varalaxmi’s character’s love for her daughter is also portrayed in the same way. He further added that the film also shows that even if society is changing, a mother’s love for their children never changes. Even if a child and mother are not biologically related, a mother will always take care of their child.

Anil Katz also revealed that the name Sabari has many meanings. He added that there is a river named Sabari in Andhra Pradesh. There is a temple in Kerala that is called Sabarimala. He also explained that Sabari means female tiger in Sanskrit, and Varalaxmi’s character has qualities of a tigress.

Sabari is produced by Mahendra Nath Kondla under the banner of Maha Movies and presented by Maharshi Kondla. The music in the film is by Gopi Sundar. The makers are promoting the film on a large scale, which has created a strong buzz among the audience.
