In Pics: Actor Silambarasan Poses With Kids During Thug Life Shoot

There is a brand new “thug” in the town and it is none other than Silambarasan TR aka Simbu. He has become the buzz of the industry after his upcoming film Thug Life was recently introduced. While the actor is busy shooting, he managed to shell out time and click photos with his young fans, the photos of which have gone viral on the internet.

Recently, Simbu stepped out for shooting and was greeted by children with whom he posed for pictures. The children huddled together and almost all of them had a huge grin plastered to their faces as they got the chance to click photos with their favourite star.

The makers of Thug Life recently dropped a new promo and a poster to introduce Silambarasan’s character in the film. Reportedly, the Pathu Thala actor has commenced shooting for the film along with Kamal Haasan in New Delhi. The shoot for the film is expected to be wrapped up by this year. Raaj Kamal Films International dropped the YouTube link of the promo on X (formerly known as Twitter). The tweet read, “In the realms of dust, a new thug arises! Silambarasan TR makes his mark (sic).”

The poster shows him seated in his fast-speeding car with windows rolled down. He sports an intense expression on his face and can be seen holding a gun pointed towards the camera. As per reports, Dulquer Salmaan was first roped in for Thug Life, but he walked out of the film after continuous delays. Later, Simbu replaced him. Thug Life will mark the reunion of Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan after 36 years. Their last collaboration was for the blockbuster film Nayakan.

Directed by Mani Ratnam, Thug Life is all about professional robbers and murderers in India. The film’s promo was unveiled in November 2023. The story is written by Kamal Haasan and also stars ace actors like Kamal Haasan, Trisha, Abhirami, Nasser, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi and others in key roles. It is bankrolled by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies and Red Giant Movies. AR Rahman has composed the music.
