The third season of the much-loved Netflix show Bridgerton is here. Set in the times of early 19th-century London high society, this Shonda Rhimes directorial began in December 2020. Viewers have often compared Bridgerton to a Regency-era Gossip Girl for its storytelling and settings. This ongoing season has been divided into two parts. While the first part (episodes 1-4) has already premiered on May 16, 2024, part 2 (episodes 5-8) is set to release on June 13 this year. Meanwhile, as it gears up for its premiere, the lead cast has taken up the task of sharing with their fans what goes on the sets.

Actors Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan, who bring the beloved characters Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington to life in Bridgerton, have been sharing BTS snippets. Apart from their fun selfies and makeup-room photos, one amusing clip shared by Newton on Instagram, shows him pranking Coughlan. In the clip, we can see he pops out from under a makeup table, causing the actress to scream in shock and then run away.

While fans undoubtedly adore the off-screen friendship between the cast members, their excitement is also palpable for the upcoming episodes in the second part of the third season.

According to Netflix, the new episodes in Part 2 will pick up from the intense finale of Part 1. In the finale, Colin proposes to Penelope. It is also revealed that Penelope is actually Lady Whistledown, who writes the scandalous gossip column that everyone in Mayfair reads. It has taken fans by surprise.

As per the official synopsis for season 3, what adds to this drama is Penelope’s troubled relationship with Eloise, who has found a new friend. This situation has made it harder for Penelope to hide her secret identity.

Fans of the drama are eagerly waiting for the premiere in June and are expecting more of the drama, romance and twist that Bridgerton has been known for.
