Harish Kalyan-starrer Tamil film Parking opened to critical acclaim upon its release last year. If the latest reports are to be believed, the film is now set to be made in four Indian languages, as well as a foreign language. Dubbed as a thriller, the film had its theatrical release in December last year. After its release, it garnered positive reviews for its acting performances and plot. As per latest reports, the makers have sold its remake rights for a hefty amount and fans can anticipate its remake in several languages. The film is set to be remade in the Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages, and a foreign language. As per more reports, the film was made on a budget of Rs 3 crore and proved to be a box-office hit.
Parking is written and directed by debutant filmmaker Ramkumar Balakrishnan. The cast of the film includes Harish Kalyan, M S Bhaskar, Indhuja Ravichandran and Rama Rajendra. It is produced by Sudhan Sundaram and K S Sinish, under the banner of Passion Studios and Soldiers Factory. The music in the film is handled by Sam C S and the cinematographer is Jiju Sunny, while Philomin Raj did the editing. Released on December 1, 2023, the film made Rs 17 crore at the box-office. The film is available to stream on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar.
The film’s lead Harish Kalyan made his debut in 2010 with the film Sindhu Samaveli. He was seen with actress Amala Paul. The film was directed by Samy. Some of his most notable works include the films Poriyaalan, Vil Ambu and Pyaar Prema Kaadhal.
Harish Kalyan in 2023 was seen in Parking as well as Let’s Get Married. The latter is directed by Ramesh Thamilmani, while produced under the banner of Dhoni Entertainment. In the film, Harish Kalyan shared the screen space with Nadhiya, Ivana, Yogi Babu and others.
