Ending his eight-year-long fight with Krushna Abhishek, Govinda attended his niece, Arti Singh’s wedding in Mumbai on Thursday, April 25. He was spotted arriving at the venue with his brother, Kirti Kumar. After the wedding, Kriti spoke to a media portal when he opened up about the family feud and revealed why Govinda decided to attend Arti’s D-day.
Govinda’s brother explained that fights are common in families but it does not mean that one should not be a part of someone’s happiness. “Which family does not have differences or fights? This does not mean that I will not be a part of you happy moments. It does not happen this way. Even if differences occur, it does not mean were weren’t family,” he told Telly Masala.
Asked about how he felt when he entered the wedding venue with Govinda, Kriti added, “Everyone was very happy. I am proud that my brother is widely loved. He hasn’t done any film for several years now but even then people love him a lot. He has not only earned money but love too.” He then shared that even Arti was very happy to see her mama.

Govinda has not been on talking terms with his nephew Krushna Abhishek, who is Arti’s elder brother. The duo had a huge fallout in 2016 and have often made statements against each other. Therefore, netizens were unsure about Govinda attending Arti’s wedding especially after he skipped the TV star’s Haldi, Sangeet and Mehendi ceremonies.
However, Govinda graced the wedding reception and surprised all. In a video shared by Viral Bhayani on Instagram, he was seen all smiles as he made a grand entry to Arti’s wedding. He also greeted the paparazzi stationed outside the wedding venue with folded hands. Govinda later blessed Arti and Dipak and told Instant Bollywood, “Ishvar se praarthana hai, jo kripa Arti par hui hai kisi prakaar ka vastu dosh na lage (I pray for her wellbeing and may god protect her from evil eyes).”
Later, Krushna Abhishek also got emotional as he talked about Govinda attending Arti’s wedding. “Maama aaye bahut khushi hui. I was so happy to see him. Wo dil ki baat hai. Humara emotional connect hai,” he said.
Meanwhile, Arti and Dipak’s wedding was also attended by Krushna Abhishek’s The Great Indian Kapil Show co-stars Kapil Sharma, Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover and Rajiv Thakur. Arti’s Bigg Boss 13 co-contestants including Shefali Jariwala, Vishal Aditya Singh and Hindustani Bhau also attended to bless her. Tina Dutta, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary and Ankit Gupta also attended the reception.
