The book, based on a real-life incident, features a couple working together to rid a family of paranormal activity.
Released in 2013, the movie The Conjuring begins with a large bungalow. In which a family lives happily. The garden area of the bungalow has a large pond and a tree on the side. Paranormal activity is associated with this tree. When the family starts experiencing paranormal activity, they contact the Warren couple to investigate and help them. Then the couple helps the family. The movie did well at the box office. It received positive reviews from critics and grossed over $319 million (Rs 2670 crore) worldwide against its $20 million (Rs 167 crore) budget.

The Conjuring 2 was released in 2016. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprise their roles as paranormal investigators and authors Ed and Lorraine Warren from the first film. The film also did well at the box office and grossed over $320 million (Rs 2678 crore), worldwide.
Five years later, the third part came to the viewers. It was named The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. The film grossed $206 million (Rs 1724 crore) against a budget of $39 million (Rs 326 crore) and received mixed reviews from critics.
If the reports are to be believed, the fourth part is also coming soon. As per the latest reports, The Conjuring: Last Rites is currently in production.
