Eminem’s Emotional New Song Temporary Features Daughter Hailie’s Voice As A Toddler
Eminem has dropped his much-awaited 12th studio album The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), with songs dedicated to his kids.

While fans were clearly expecting yet another set of abrasive tracks on his latest album, Eminem left everyone emotional with a heart-wrenching number dedicated to his daughter. In his album, The Death of Slim Shady, the rapper finally eliminated his alter ego while also addressing his daughter in the future after his death. Titled Temporary, track 15 features recordings of his 28-year-old daughter Hailie Jade from her toddler days.

In what seemed to be an emotional love letter to his daughter to comfort her, Eminem, in his song, promises to always be with her, even after he dies. Temporary opens with the 51-year-old saying, “A lot of people ask me, am I afraid of death? The truth is, I think what scares me the most is not being able to say all the things I wanna say to you when I’m no longer here. So, this song is for Hailie, for when that day comes."

Further, as the song features some adorable moments between the father and daughter, it goes on to comfort Hailie after he is gone. “Hailie Jade, I wrote you this song, to help you cope with life now that I’m gone. How should I start? Just wanna say look after Alaina, Stevie, and Uncle Nate. And sweetie, be strong," he raps. Throughout the song, Eminem continues to motivate and push his daughter. “Don’t you dare shed a tear, what I tell you? ‘Straighten up, little soldier," he says amid throwback recordings of their conversations.

The song instantly became a hit, with fans admitting that they teared up after hearing it. Many took to social media and shared their reactions.

Besides Temporary, Eminem has dedicated another song to his kids, including Hailie, Alaina and Stevie. In Somebody Save Me, the rapper apologises to them for missing out on several parts of their lives due to his substance abuse. “Sorry that I chose drugs and put ’em above you. Sorry that I didn’t love you enough to. Give ’em up, how the f— do I not love you more than a pill? Lookin’ up to the ceilin’ from this floor wonder will," he raps.

Mentioning both Alaina and Stevie, he sincerely pours his heart out and apologises.
