Don Palathara's Family Opens In Limited Theatres As Kerala Exhibitor Strike Continues

Originally slated for release on February 23, the director opted to advance the premiere due to ongoing strikes by film exhibitors in Kerala. This decision, however, presented logistical challenges in rearranging theatre slots and updating booking platforms like Book My Show.

Don Palathara is renowned for his small-budget gems like Shavam, Vith and Santhoshathinte Onnam Rahasyam. Family delves into sensitive themes, set against the backdrop of Idukki, Kerala, exploring issues of sexual abuse and power dynamics between lower and upper castes in the village.
