Actor and Punjabi music star Diljit Dosanjh has achieved global icon status. Following his sold-out shows across North America, Australia and New Zealand, he recently announced on social media that his highly anticipated Dil-Luminati Tour is heading to India. The tour will be a grand 10-city celebration, entertaining lakhs of fans throughout the country. It will commence on October 26 in Delhi and conclude on December 29 in Guwahati.
But, many Delhiites, who are die-hard fans of the Punjabi artist Diljit Dosanjh, could not secure tickets to his concert on 26th October. However, that has now changed, as Dosanjh has added a second show as part of his Dil-Iuminati tour specifically for his Delhi fans.
Earlier, social media was flooded with memes and reels as soon as the singer announced his India tour, with many fans scrambling to arrange the HDFC pixel card that would provide them pre-sale access. While those who were lucky managed to secure tickets, a large chunk of the population was left in the lurch. Seeing how many people were requesting a second show, Diljit heard them and did not disappoint. In September, he surprised his fans by announcing via his Instagram that he would be adding a second show.
Since then, many fans have been eagerly waiting for the announcement, and today, in a story uploaded by the singer himself, it was revealed that Dosanjh has added two new dates to his tour. He would be putting on a second show just for his Delhi fans on 27th October, and another one in Jaipur on 3rd November. The venue for Delhi will be the same as before, that is, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, and tickets for the second show will go live tomorrow, that is, on 9th October, from 2 p.m. onwards on the Zomato app.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Diljit, who received much appreciation and love for his portrayal of Amar Singh Chamkila in Imtiaz Ali’s Netflix film, has joined the cast of Border 2. Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan has also been roped in for the film.
