Devoleena Bhattacharjee Announces Pregnancy: 'You Can Stop Asking Now'

Devoleena Bhattacharjee has finally confirmed her pregnancy. On Wednesday, the actress took to her Instagram handle and announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Shanawaz Shaikh. Devoleena shared a series of pictures from a recent puja at her Mumbai residence as she also dropped adorable pictures with her husband.

In the photos, Devoleena and Shanawaz were seen sitting on a chair, looking lost in each other. Their furry pet was also seen sitting on Shanawaz’s lap. On the other hand, Devoleena held a toddler’s clothes which had “You can stop asking now” written on it.

In the caption of her post, Devoleena wrote, “Celebrating the divine journey to motherhood with the sacred Panchamrit ritual, where tradition and love blend to bless the mother and her unborn child with health, prosperity, and joy during this beautiful chapter of life.” ❤️ Check it out here:

Soon after the post was shared, fans and friends rushed to the comments section congratulating the couple. Among others, Supriya Shukla and Rajiv Adatia also sent wishes to Devoleena and Shanawaz.

News18 Showsha was the first to confirm Devoleena’s pregnancy in July this year. We had also spoken to the actress back then but she had neither denied pregnancy rumours nor confirmed it. “I get irritated when I get messages or calls asking about rumours. If it is my personal life, I’ll tell you whenever I feel like it. Don’t bother me or don’t worry about it. Everything has the right time. There are so many rumours about me which I laugh at. I was shocked. There’s nothing one can do about it,” she told us.

Devoleena tied the knot with beau Shanawaz Shaikh in December 2022. It was a court wedding in Lonavala with only close friends in attendance. She faced immense backlash after her wedding when trolls questioned her decision of inter-faith marriage. However, the actress has always given a befitting reply to trolls.

On the work front, Devoleena Bhattacharjee is a popular name in the television industry and is known for shows like Saath Nibhaana Saathiya and Dil Diyaan Gallaan. She also participated in Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 14 which Rubina Dilaik won. She is currently seen in Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya.
