Deadpool & Wolverine Sets New Record For First-Day Advance Tickets

After the tickets went live in May this year, AMC Theatres chief Adam Aron confirmed that Deadpool & Wolverine created a new record for first-day advance ticket sales. “Some 200,000 movie fans have bought their AMC tickets already. This is more Day 1 ticket sales at AMC than for any other R-rated movie ever,” he wrote on X.

On the other hand, the R-rated Marvel film broke another record with Fandango’s best first-day ticket sales record for 2024. The movie was also voted the No. 1 most anticipated film and the No. 1 most anticipated summer movie on the ticket site. “Deadpool and Wolverine are proving to be the dynamic duo, smashing records before appearing on the big screen. The success of the film’s ticket pre-sales is a testament to the strong appeal and excitement these iconic characters bring to audiences across the nation,” said Jerramy Hainline, EVP of Fandango Ticketing as quoted by ComicBook.

Talking about the film, Deadpool & Wolverine marks the return of Hugh Jackman’s Logan, aka Wolverine, opposite the iconic Deadpool in the MCU.
