Dalljiet Kaur Talks About Being Wronged Amid Nikhil Patel Divorce: 'I Want To See...'
Last month, Dalljiet Kaur also moved to Nairobi City court against Nikhil and received a stay order to prevent Patel from evicting her or her son from their home in Kenya.

Dalljiet Kaur took to her Instagram stories on Thursday to pen down a cryptic note amid her divorce from her estranged husband, Nikhil Paten. The actress talked about being wronged and questioned those “who saw the wrong”. “At the end of this road, the real question would be, who saw the wrong, realised it was wrong, told me it was wrong while it was happening, and felt bad that this happened in the first place, and also had the guts to stand by me,” she wrote.

Dalljit further mentioned that she isn’t sure what the future holds for her but mentioned that she trusts god to decide the path ahead. “Even I want to see what this journey holds ahead and who were the ones who stood by me, and who were those who chose the convenience to be on both the sides. I am letting god decide the path ahead. And also letting the universe show me the truth of everyone around me .. whether it was a relationship of years or a year… I want to see if humanity stood a chance,” she added.

Rumours of Dalljiet and Nikhil’s separation first made headlines in February this year i.e. after 10 months of their wedding. However, Nikhil confirmed their separation in May when he told E-Times, “In January this year, Dalljiet decided to leave Kenya with her son Jaydon and return to India, which ultimately led to our separation. We both realized that the foundation of our blended family wasn’t as strong as we had hoped, making it hard for Dalljiet to settle in Kenya. In March 2023, we held an Indian wedding ceremony in Mumbai. Though it held cultural significance, it was not legally binding. This ceremony was intended to reassure Dalljiet’s family about her move to Kenya.”

Last month, Dalljiet also moved to Nairobi City court against Nikhil and received a stay order to prevent Patel from evicting her or her son from their home in Kenya.

Prior to this, Nikhil also sent a legal notice to the actress and accused her of harassment. ETimes reported that Patel said, under the Indian Penal Code, The Information Technology Act of 2000 (India), and The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act of 2012 (India), Dalljiet Kaur’s social media posts accusing him of an extra-marital affair were wrong.

This was Dalljiet Kaur’s second marriage. She was previously married to Shalin Bhanot but the two parted ways in 2015 after she accused him of domestic violence.
