Dalljiet Kaur’s separation from her estranged husband Nikhil Patel has been making headlines for a long time now. Amid all this, the actress took to her Instagram stories on Tuesday to share a picture of her ‘girl squad’. The photo has been taking in Kenya. Dalljiet’s husband, Nikhil Patel, who lives in Kenya, has threatened legal action over her ‘cheap’ social media posts. She has been hinting that he cheated on her. Dalljiet has now returned to Nairobi, Kenya, for the first time since leaving amid murmurs of separation.
On Tuesday, Dalljiet shared a photo on her Instagram Stories. She was dressed in black and smiling with two friends at a restaurant. She captioned the photo, “When you meet your girl squad…”
Reportedly, Nikhil has also sent a legal notice to the actress and accused her of harassment. ETimes reported that Patel said under the Indian Penal Code, The Information Technology Act of 2000 (India), and The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act of 2012 (India), Dalljiet Kaur’s social media posts accusing him of an extra-marital affair were wrong.
Nikhil told the publication that his legal team will take ‘the sternest legal action available against Dalljiet should she continue with her unlawful actions’. He said, “As a normal citizen of the world, it is very disturbing to see how the gaps in online protection laws, both in India and globally, can, and are, often exploited by those who choose to gain cheap media attention through careless actions that place innocent children and women at risk. Sharing pictures and video footage without consent of those involved, particularly in the case of children, who are always a vulnerable group in society and who always require protection of the law, is illegal and negligent.”
Meanwhile, for the unversed, this was Dalljiet Kaur’s second marriage. The actress was previously married to Shalin Bhanot but the two parted ways in 2015 after she accused him of domestic violence.
