Tamil actor Vikram, popularly known as Chiyaan Vikram, recently released the title poster and teaser of his upcoming movie Veera Dheera Sooran. It is directed by SU Arun Kumar, with background music by GV Prakash Kumar. The makers released the teaser of the film on the occasion of Vikram’s birthday. It was followed by the title poster of the film, which is now receiving a backlash for promoting the violent content. A complaint has been filed with the Chennai Police Commissioner’s office that the Veera Dheera Sooran poster is inciting violence among the youth. The viral title poster of Veera Dheera Sooran showcases Chiyaan Vikram in action, as he holds knives in both his hands. Dead bodies can be seen scattered behind him. In the complaint filed by social activist Selvam, the impact of violent content on social media on youth has been mentioned.
It said that police earlier took action against clips or reels of youth cutting cakes with knives. These were circulating on social media, and said to be inciting violence among youth. Now, Chiyaan Vikram poster holding knives in both hands is said to incite violence. Selvam has demanded action against Chiyaan Vikram and SU Arun Kumar under the Information Technology Prevention Act.
