Bollywood actor Bobby Deol recently shared insights into his children’s aspirations to join the film industry, revealing that both of his sons, Aryaman and Dharam Deol, are eager to pursue careers in acting. In a candid conversation, Bobby opened up about the guidance he offers them and the values he instills, especially the importance of staying connected to their roots.
Bobby emphasised that he often discusses the industry with his children, preparing them for the challenges ahead. “Both my kids want to be in this industry, so I keep discussing things with them,” Bobby told Bollywood Hungama. “I’ve always ensured that they’re more connected to our culture. Speaking in Hindi is something I’ve always prioritised, and my kids speak Hindi, which is really important because if you want to be an actor in Hindi cinema, it’s essential,” he shared.
The actor also expressed excitement about exploring new facets of his craft, like working with different accents. “Now, things have changed. I’m so excited to do Haryanvi accents and other things out of my comfort zone. It’s just fun doing all that,” he added.
When asked whether his children feel more confident or nervous, given his backing, Bobby made it clear that having him as their father doesn’t necessarily make things easier. “Me being their father doesn’t make a difference. I can guide them, but the industry is tough to break into, not just for actors but in every field. People often talk about how difficult it is in the film industry, but it’s challenging everywhere,” he explained.
Bobby also acknowledged the increased scrutiny his children will face due to their lineage but stressed the importance of hard work and determination. “More eyes will be on my kids, but they have to work hard and focus on what they want,” he stated firmly.
On the professional front, Bobby Deol is making headlines with his upcoming role in Jr NTR’s much-anticipated film Devara Part I. Reports suggest that Bobby will portray a villainous character, following in the footsteps of Saif Ali Khan, who will also be seen as an antagonist in the movie.
According to a source quoted by the Hindustan Times, Bobby’s role is expected to be significant, especially in the film’s second part. “The team is in talks with Bobby Deol, and discussions are in the final stages. Bobby will enter Devara Part I towards the end, and in Part II, both Saif and Bobby will have meaty roles as antagonists,” the source revealed.
