The theme song for the upcoming Malayalam movie Thalavan, featuring Biju Menon and Asif Ali, was released on May 10. The song, directed and written by Jis Joy and composed by Deepak Dev, sets the tone for the film’s gripping narrative. Sung by Anand Sriraj, the song reunites the successful duo of Biju Menon and Asif Ali, Jis Joy, and presents the audience with the problems that arise between two police officers of different ranks. The song is produced by Arun Narayan and Sijo Sebastian under the banners of Arun Narayan Productions and London Studios.
Earlier this week, the makers took to Instagram to announce the release date of Thalavan, which is set to hit theatres on May 24. The film, produced by Arun Narayan Productions after Eesho and Chaveer, is an investigative thriller set in the countryside of Malabar.
Anushree, Mia, Dilish Pothan, Kottayam Naseer, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Joji K John, Dinesh, Anurup, Nandan Unni, and Bilas are playing the lead roles in the film.
The screenplay is co-written by Sarath Perumbavoor and Anand Thevarakat. The film boasts music and background score by Deepak Dev, cinematography by Sharan Velayudhan, and editing by Suraj ES, Art Director Ajayan Mangat, Sound by Ranganath Ravi, Makeup by Ronax Xavier, Costume by Jishad, Chief Associate Director Sagar, and many more.

Jis Joy is a scriptwriter, director, dubbing artist, and lyricist who works in the Malayalam film industry. He is known for Bicycle Thieves (2013), Vijay Superum Pournamiyum (2019), Thalavan, and Sunday Holiday (2017).
Biju Menon works mainly in Malayalam films and also in a few Tamil and Telugu films. He is known for films including Ayyappanum Koshiyum (2020), Vellimoonga (2014), and Aarkkariyam (2021). Asif Ali also works in the Malayalam film industry. He is known for Sunday Holiday (2017), Kettiyollaanu Ente Maalakha (2019), and Anuraga Karikkin Vellam (2016).
