Athiya Shetty Cheers for KL Rahul from Stands After His Patch-up With LSG Owner Sanjiv Goenka | Watch

Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty was spotted cheering for her husband, cricketer KL Rahul, during Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) IPL match at Wankhede stadium on Friday. Athiya’s appearance comes three days after LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka hosted KL for dinner following his “pubic outburst”. Goenka was in the eye of the storm after his animated chat with KL was perceived to be a public dressing of the captain, after LSG were mauled by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 10 wickets in Hyderabad on May 8.

Athiya was all smile as she watched KL score a half century during the match. The actress opted for a casual look for the match. She donned a white shirt over a matching tank top and looked stunning with minimal makeup.

Earlier this week, Athiya Shetty shared a cryptic after LSG owner’s “public outburst” on KL Rahul. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Athiya shared a picture of the sun shining through a sky full of clouds and wrote, “The calm after the storm.”

Meanwhile, KL Rahul has also not been chosen to be a part of the T20 World Cup squad. The team is set to fly to the US and West Indies for the series, under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.

Athiya married KL Rahul in 2023, after dating for almost five years. The wedding took place at Suniel Shetty’s farmhouse in Khandala in a close-knit ceremony. The couple shared photos from their wedding on Instagram and made their marriage public last year. In their shared post, the duo wrote, “In your light, I learn how to love… Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness.”
