Actor Sudhanshu Pandey, who is known for his role in the television show Anupamaa, recently spoke about how the humility of renowned actors such as Jackie Chan, Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, and Jackie Shroff has inspired him to stay grounded. In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, the former model and singer shared his experience of working with Jackie Chan in the Hollywood film The Myth, including a memorable instance where Chan personally wiped his shoes.
During the interview, he recalled, “The guy on the set, who was assigned to clean my shoes, had his feet dirty and because Jackie didn’t want him to dirty the place, he took a piece of cloth and started wiping my shoes himself. Jackie Chan mere joote saaf kar raha tha! When he was cleaning my shoes, I told myself, ‘Yeh kamaal hai! (This is incredible).’ The incident taught me how to stay grounded.”
Sudhanshu Pandey’s Vanraj Shah, which had a combination of good and bad, was both beloved by fans. Recently, the actor addressed claims of being favoured by his producers, and rumours about him quitting the show. In the same interview, Sudhanshu Pandey addressed accusations about Anupamaa producers favouring him. The actor jokingly stated that had the producers favoured him, he would have been playing the role of Anupama instead of Rupali Ganguly.
On the other hand, when asked if he ever thought of quitting the popular show, which has gained him immense recognition, Sudhanshu stated, “Nahi, aisa toh nahi hua. Aisa kabhi nahi hua. Anupamaa chhordne ka toh maine kabhi kisiko bola bhi nahi, na kabhi aisa socha. Mujhe aisa lagta hai ki jis show ko humne banaya hai, itna khoon-paseena, mehnat karke humne uss show ko… Vanraj Shah ka character jo hai puri duniya mei itna iconic ban chuka hai (No, I have never thought of leaving the show. I have not said anything like that to anybody, nor have I ever thought of it. I think when we have put so much hard work to make this show, today Vanraj Shah’s character has become such an iconic character).” He added that since he has worked so hard to take this character forward, he is not ready to leave it when it is at its peak.
Sudhanshu Pandey has been in a lot of films and television shows during his decades-long career. He has been observed in Jersey, Singh Is Kinng, and Singham, among other places. While Sudhashu’s acting skills have undoubtedly captured the attention of many, he also has a devoted fan base that enjoys his singing ability. Sudhanshu was previously part of a music group called the Band of Boys.
