Chiranjeevi is basking in the glory of the second highest civilian honour, Padma Vibhushan, for his artistic contribution to Indian cinema. The South megastar received the prestigious award from President Droupadi Murmu and several celebrities have been congratulating the veteran actor ever since. The latest to join the list is Chiranjeevi’s nephew and South superstar Allu Arjun.
The Pushpa: The Rise actor sent his congratulatory message to his uncle on Instagram. Sharing a heartfelt note, Allu Arjun wrote on Instagram Stories: “My Heartfelt Congratulations to Chiranjeevi garu for being conferred with prestigious honor, #PadmaVibhushan. This is a moment of immense pride for all of us. Thank you for making us proud.”
Chiranjeevi was bestowed with Padma Vibhushan on Thursday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The grand ceremony was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi.
The esteemed event saw the attendance of Chiranjeevi’s family including his wife Surekha, son Ram Charan, daughter-in-law Upasana Kamineni Konidela and daughter Sushmitha.
Earlier, Ram Charan also congratulated his father with a slew of pictures from the ceremony. “Congratulations dad. So proud of you,” he wrote.

Following the award ceremony, Amit Shah hosted a dinner at his official residence for all the Padma awardees, which was graced by Chiranjeevi and his family.
One of South’s seasoned superstars, Chiranjeevi has starred in more than 150 feature films in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi languages. He last appeared in Bhola Shankar (2023), which also featured Tamannaah Bhatia. Some of his notable works include Gang Leader, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Indra, Tagore, Rudra Veena and Swayam Krushi.
At present, Chiranjeevi is busy working for his socio-fantasy film, Vishwambhara. Helmed by Mallidi Vassishta, the film is produced by V Vamshi Krishna and Pramod Uppalapati under UV Creations.
Allu Arjun, on the other hand, is gearing up for his upcoming actioner Pushpa 2: The Rule. The flick is directed by Sukumar and also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles.
