Arif Khan made his debut through the film Phool Aur Kaante, sharing the screen space with Ajay Devgn and Madhoo. Arif was seen in the role of the antagonist Rocky, the main villain of the film. His portrayal was received well by the audience, and the film became a hit. It led to numerous opportunities for him, where he acted in several hits. Arif Khan’s debut film, Phool Aur Kaante was released in 1991 and was made under the direction of Kuku Kohli. The cast of the film included Ajay Devgn and actress Madhoo as the leads, who were supported by Amrish Puri, Aruna Irani, Arif Khan, Jagadeep, Raza Murad and others. Iqbal Durrani penned the story and it was produced by Dinesh Patel. The music in the film is under Nadeem-Shravan while the cinematographer is Thomas A Xavier and Suresh Chaturvedi did the editing. It was released theatrically on November 22, 1991.
