Many aspiring actors decide to leave the film industry at the peak of their careers or sometimes even at the start. The reason could also include not getting the desired success. Something similar happened with former actor Arif Khan who left his acting career to focus on his religion.

Arif Khan made his debut through the film Phool Aur Kaante, sharing the screen space with Ajay Devgn and Madhoo. Arif was seen in the role of the antagonist Rocky, the main villain of the film. His portrayal was received well by the audience, and the film became a hit. It led to numerous opportunities for him, where he acted in several hits. He was mostly cast as the villain or the male lead’s rival, battling him for the heroine.

In the next seven years of his career, he worked with big names like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, in films like Veergati and Mohra. Then in 2007, Arif Khan appeared as a taxi driver in the Hollywood film A Mighty Heart, where he was seen sharing the screen with Angelina Jolie.

As per the reports, after a short while, he decided to bid goodbye to the film industry. He decided to take the path of religion and became a preacher. A few years ago, the former actor’s image went viral on social media, showing him in a whole new look. Arif Khan became an Islamic scholar, who now leads a simple life and teaches others.

Arif Khan’s debut film, Phool Aur Kaante was released in 1991 and was made under the direction of Kuku Kohli. The cast of the film included Ajay Devgn and actress Madhoo as the leads, who were supported by Amrish Puri, Aruna Irani, Arif Khan, Jagadeep, Raza Murad and others. Iqbal Durrani penned the story and it was produced by Dinesh Patel. The music in the film is under Nadeem-Shravan while the cinematographer is Thomas A Xavier and Suresh Chaturvedi did the editing. It was released theatrically on November 22, 1991.
