Actor Sivakarthikeyan To Make His Directorial Debut With This Soori-starrer

Actor Sivakarthikeyan is currently in the limelight for the biographical action-war film Amaran. Meanwhile, according to the latest reports, the actor is all set to make his debut as a director. Reports suggest that Sivakarthikeyan first shared this good news and the story of the upcoming project with his friend and co-star Ramalakshmanan Muthuchamy, popularly known as Soori. It is reported that he has asked Soori to play the lead role.

Meanwhile, a video went viral from an interview session where Soori was asked about his friend Sivakarthikeyan’s directorial debut. Replying to this, Soori said, “Sivakarthikeyan is like my brother. He told me that there is a good story, and it would be better if you did it. I will do the project. We had decided earlier that we would start the project at the right time. Whenever he gets time and the story is fully ready, then we will start the next process. I will act in his direction, and I’m ready.”

The video of this interview session went viral. It was shared on the official Twitter page of Movie Tamil. “Sivakarthikeyan will make his directorial debut in Tamil cinema next. #Soori Hero Confirmed.” Take a look at the video:

Sivakarthikeyan will soon be seen in Amaran. Rajkumar Periasamy wrote and directed the film. It is backed jointly by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. In the film, Sivakarthikeyan will play Major Mukund Varadarajan, alongside Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Hanun Bawra, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, Gaurav Venkatesh and Shreekumar playing other pivotal roles.

The film is an adaptation of the book series India’s Most Fearless by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, which is based on Mukund Varadarajan.

Soori, on the other hand, will shortly appear in Garudan, a Tamil action drama film. RS Durai Senthilkumar wrote and directed the film, while it is produced by the Grass Root Film Company and Lark Studios. The film stars Soori in the lead role, alongside M. Sasikumar, Unni Mukundan, Revathi Sharma, Sshivada, Samuthirakani, Rajendran, and Mime Gopi.

Garudan is scheduled to be released worldwide on May 31 in theatres.
