Terming illicit liquor and drugs trade a “national crime”, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday announced to develop a portal that will enable registration of complaints notifying such incidents resulting in prompt tracking of those dealing in such activities.
Addressing a massive public gathering in Bulandshahr, the Chief Minister said, “The government is working with a policy of zero tolerance to stop illicit liquor and drugs trade and to safeguard the future of our youth. To enable prompt tracking of those dealing in such activities, the government is also working to develop a portal.”
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also distributed grant money to 700 Self Help Groups under National Rural Livelihood Mission, tablets/smartphones to 1000 students under Abhyudaya Yojana and Swami Vivekananda Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana, financial aid under PMEGP and uniforms to Anganwadi workers. Besides, beneficiaries of various other schemes like Awas Yojana, Swamitva Yojana also attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, expressing gratitude to people of Bulandshahr for showing their faith in the BJP, Adityanath said, “I assure that the government will serve Bulandshahr without stopping, without bowing, without stooping, without getting tired. We will fulfill all the goals for the security, prosperity and bright future of the region.”
The Chief Minister went on to say that the public representatives in Bulandshahr are working dedicatedly for the development of the region. “The upcoming new power generation plant, medical college in the name of former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh Ji, projects under Namami Gange, region’s ODOP, as well as the Noida International Airport nearby will give a new height to Bulandshahr’s progress,” said the CM.
The medical college, which is being built here in the name of Babuji, will start admissions in the next session and will become a centre for our youth who aspire to become doctors and girls who aspire to do nursing, he added.
Projects like Film City, Medical Device Park, Toy Park in nearby regions and upcoming Sports University in Meerut will generate numerous employment opportunities for the youth, Adityanath pointed out.
Highlighting the achievements of the government, the Chief Minister said that so far, as many as 35 lakh families have benefited from the Swamitva scheme, while about 9 lakh people have benefited from SVANidhi scheme, and over 15 lakh tablets/smartphones have been given to the youth.
“Today I will appeal to our youth that we have to work collectively towards making our state developed and the number one economy. For this, I urge the youth to become technically competent and contribute towards development,” the CM emphasised.
The Chief Minister during his visit to Bulandshahr also conducted an on-ground inspection of the under construction administrative and educational building of Kalyan Singh Government Medical College and Kasturba Women’s Hospital and interacted with the beneficiaries of various government schemes in Bulandshahr.
He also held a meeting with the public representatives and officials of Bulandshahr and gave strict instructions to ensure that the upcoming projects are expedited and prompt action taken against those being negligent.
