It's official! Global icon Priyanka Chopra and American pop singer Nick Jonas are married. After a whirlwind courtship, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas sealed the deal with a Western wedding ceremony on December 1 at Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan Palace.
Meanwhile, Vogue released their first ever digital cover and love is written all over it. What better way to commemorate the most awaited wedding of the year.
Vogue decided to release a video on Instagram right after the couple said 'I do' at a Christian wedding in Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan.
In the video, Priyanka is seen grooving to the acoustic rendition of the Nick's song 'Close' at the Weylin in Brooklyn. The bride is seen performing to five moves choreographed by Celia Rowlson-Hall.
Groomed by Marissa Machado, the actress wore a Galvan dress and teamed it with Sergio Rossi shoes. On the accessory front, she wore a statement Joomi Lim necklace and a pair of dangling Swarovski earrings.
For the second outfit, the Quantico star donned an Altuzarra skirt, top and cardigan, Manolo Blahnik for her sole. She accessorised it with Luv AJ earrings.
Not to forget, how she oozed oomph in a Balenciaga dress, leggings flaunting her fit calves and earrings to go with.
Bok Hee tamed Priyanka's tresses and we love how voluminous her hair looked while she danced gracefully. She chose to keep her makeup subtle and Pati Dubroff left no stone unturned to make her look radiant.
In an interview with Vogue magazine, choreographer Celia explained the idea behind the graceful yet fun moves — the Fred & Ginger, the Gambler, El Matador, Honeymoon, and Lost My Keys Found Them — performed by Priyanka.
“I wanted to make sure that each movement had a relationship to Nick and Priyanka’s story and was a reflection of them, while also maintaining a sense of play and fun," Rowlson-Hall says of her choreography. “Priyanka was game for anything."
Noting Chopra and Jonas’s status as a talented Hollywood twosome, Rowlson-Hall thought of another famous pair: Rogers and Astaire. “Priyanka and Nick are Hollywood icons of today, and so I wanted to give her a timeless move while also paying homage to Old Hollywood. It’s a very classic and clean move, drawing inspiration from one of my all-time favorite dancing duos, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers," she says.
“Priyanka wanted a move that made her feel in power and full of confidence," Rowlson-Hall says. “I thought it would be fun to add some humor to her innately sexy way of moving. She’s feeling herself, but in doing so ‘looking for her keys’ as only Priyanka can make losing your keys sexy."
“El Matador," Rowlson-Hall says, was “a fun seduction" meant to show off Priyanka’s outfits, from a shimmering Galvan dress to a sparkling Altuzarra number.
With top directors, designers and stylisists working behind the scene, Priyanka Chopra set the dance floor on fire with her moves. What we can not miss is the chemistry between the newlyweds.
Earlier Vogue released just the digital cover featuring two shoots captured on a Google Pixel 3 camera. The shots were mainly in a pastoral setting and the couple were seen holding hands while Nick Jonas played the guitar and Priyanka leaned to kiss him.
