Known for his roles in films like Insadong Scandal, Perfect Game, Train To Busan and many others, Ma Dong-seok has developed a global fan base. However, beyond his action-packed filmography, he has become quite famous for his surprising love for Hello Kitty, which he proudly shares on Instagram. Some time back, he went viral when fans spotted him on a flight, chatting on a phone with a pink Hello Kitty cover. People were amused by the contrast between his on-screen toughness and his fondness for this cute character.

This time, he has done it again! The actor recently shared another clip on Instagram, once more showing his love for Hello Kitty. This time, Ma Dong-seok was seen walking outdoors in the rain, holding a Hello Kitty umbrella. With his face mostly covered by the umbrella, he approaches the camera, eventually revealing a smile. This adorable video has taken the internet by storm, amassing over 17 million views.

Ma Dong-seok has built a name for himself in South Korea and beyond, thanks to his commanding presence and impressive acting range. Soon after his debut in 2005 with Heaven’s Soldiers, he transitioned from smaller roles to become one of South Korea’s leading actors. He first garnered international attention with his role as Sang-hwa in the 2016 zombie blockbuster Train to Busan, where he portrayed a character who sacrifices himself heroically to protect others. This performance earned him worldwide recognition.

In 2021, Ma Dong-seok made his Hollywood debut, starring as Gilgamesh in Marvel’s Eternals. As Gilgamesh, the strongest Eternal, he shares a deep bond with Thena, played by Angelina Jolie.
