BTS Star Jungkook's Shocking Revelation: 'I'm On IV Drips, Skipping Meals To Maintain Weight'
On Weverse Live, Jungkook revealed besides practising hard, he has also been skipping meals to maintain weight.

After Jungkook teased about his upcoming album on Suchwita, fans have been keenly waiting for the BTS maknae to unveil its release date. And the wait is finally over. Following his Billboard number one single Seven and the follow-up hit track 3D with rapper Jack Harlow, Jungkook officially announced his first solo album titled Golden on Wednesday, October 3. The youngest member of BTS, who routinely interacts with ARMY via Weverse, also held a live interaction to discuss his upcoming music venture. But one of his shocking revelations about following a strict diet regime has shaken fans to the core. Besides practising hard, Jungkook disclosed he has been skipping meals to maintain weight.

So much so that he’s relying on IV drips to provide nutrition to his body. During the live interaction, the BTS member appeared quite candid while sipping drinks and responding to fans’ questions. At one point, he reportedly was quoted saying, “I got an IV today, to get more energy. I haven’t had a single meal today since I need to take care of my weight.” Although he finished the statement confirming that there’s nothing to worry about. “There’s nothing I’m feeling stressed about though,” he concluded.

It didn’t take long for ARMY to raise concerns about his health on social media, with many requesting Jungkook to avoid starving himself. A fan said, “No please be healthy and eat well.”

Another commented, “I wish they didn’t do this kind of ‘diet’. It breaks my heart every single time.”

One more added, “Oh no not eating at all isn’t a healthy thing to do Jungkook. This made my heart sink honestly.”

Meanwhile, a fan expressed, “I hope he eats if he feels hungry ???? he shouldn’t starve.”

Jungkook’s management agency Big Hit Entertainment confirmed in a statement shared on Weverse that Golden will be released on November 3. “We are excited to announce the release of BTS member Jungkook’s solo album ‘Golden,'” revealing that the album is “inspired by the golden moments of Jung Kook, the golden maknae of BTS and a solo artist.” Golden consists of a staggering 11 tracks including the previously released singles Seven and 3D.

This comes following the release of the album Layover by his fellow band member Kim Taehyung aka V.
