South Africa have secured a spot as the second team to qualify for the World Cup 2023 semi-finals. The Proteas capped off their World Cup league stage campaign at the second spot having collected 14 points from nine matches. In the semis, the Temba Bavuma-led side will be up against the five-time World Cup winners Australia on Thursday, November 16. While there are concerns regarding Bavuma’s fitness, who sustained a hamstring injury against Afghanistan.
The semi-final between Australia and South Africa is scheduled to be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
