A video of a candy seller is going viral, leaving 90s kids on Instagram go nostalgic as they see their favourite candies and toffees.

When recalling our childhood days, one often goes back to the happiest moments, spent with friends by enjoying every small bit of life. Amid all of the small and big events of our childhood days, how can we forget the role of those sweet and sour candies that made our memories even sweeter? Packed in transparent wrappers, the memories of purchasing and cherishing those candies and toffees are indeed some of the most nostalgic memories for the 90s kids. These candies have an endless number of memories attached to them. A video on social media has recently gone viral leaving us feeling nostalgic as we see a man selling all of our favourite candies including hajmolas, aam pachak, aam papad, and imli candies among other items.

The video of the Kolkata-based vendor has been shared by a blogger on Instagram and it has already got all our attention. Identified as Mohmin who has been running the stall for the past 22 years, the vendor is known for making homemade candies which include homemade aam papad, imli candies, and churan, all lost in the new world charm.

Mohmin who has been running the shop for more than two decades now, has visitors of all age groups thronging the store. The candy stall is situated in front of the Lifeline Nursing Home in the Vardhaan market lane.

The video also noted that the candies are sold at “exact old prices” as before.

As soon as the video came up, nostalgic kids from the 90s took to the comment section and shared their reactions. Some also shared their own memories from their childhood days.

A user wrote, “There’s an uncle who sells in front of La Martiniere School”, while another wrote, “I used to buy Phataphat and spicy candies from him in junior classes in school when he came in front of Loreto House school years back!”

“He’s the man I took candies from everyday; he comes in front of Loreto House as well. This literally gave me a flashback of my school days!!” another user commented, while a social media buff wrote, “I remember a thyela in front of our school too! He used to sell aam pachak and fatafat too! And these khatta aam! Every day we used to have something from there.”

The video has already amassed over lakhs of views with more than 1,00,000 likes and several comments. Notably, there are many such videos on the internet from different corners of the country, showing candy sellers serving sweet savouries from the 90s, taking us down the memory lane.
