The Congress leader reached the residence of retired IPS officer SR Darapuri, who has been arrested in connection with the recent protests over the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), after giving police the slip.

The NDA government's decision to implement the CAA, NRC and National Population Register (NPR) were intended to create a 'religious divide and anarchy' in the country, he said.
