KOCHI: The World Mental Health Day was observed at Lourdes Hospital here on Monday under the auspices of the Institute of Behavioural Science of the hospital. The hospital has initiated an year-long campaign on ‘De addiction’. Film director Siddique who inaugurated the function, said that making films and spending time with family and friends gave him a kick. Music director Ignatious released the logo of celebrations. ‘Lourdes Pulse’, a publication brought out by the hospital was released by Siddique by handing over a copy to Ignatious. Hospital director Fr Sabu Nedunilath, Medical superintendent Dr Paul Puthuooran, Institute of Behavioural Sciences head Dr (Col)Ramachandran Kutty, consultant psychiatrist Dr Shaju George spoke. The year-long campaign on ‘De Addiction’ include awareness programmes, workshop,street plays, painting exhibition and documentary for different segments of the society such as professionals, common people and school children.
