HYDERABAD: After studies, everyone looks for a job. Who wants to create jobs? If you are among those who want to make a difference, then volunteers of the Hyderabad Director/CEO Forum (HDCF), an NGO, could give you good company. “Entrepreneurship is given least importance in our universities. They proudly announce their 100% placements but how many actually go on to become creators of jobs?,” questions Kaali Sudheer, a first generation entrepreneur and a volunteer with the HDCF.The volunteers launched their new entrepreneurship development programme in association with the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad here on Friday. The NGO will be conducting a six-day entrepreneurial development programme between June 4 and 9 at the JNTUH Kukatpally campus for the benefit of those who wish to set up their own businesses.“The workshop will discuss subjects like entrepreneurial motivation, project identification, market survey, business plan preparation, capital management and essential skills to run a business apart from group discussions and a series of guest lectures by prominent businessmen starting with Padma Bhushan Dr Varaprasad Reddy on Monday,” said Revathy Turaga, joint secretary, HDCF. However, the workshop is only for 100 wannabe entrepreneurs. Students as well as other interested persons can attend it. The main aim of the workshop is to turn promising entrepreneurs into full-fledged businessmen by teaching them the nuances of developing a successful businesses, Revathy said. The JNTUH, which receives a Central government grant for entrepreneurship development, is the ideal campus to encourage the concept in the city, believe the HDCF volunteers. “With a number of SEZs on the outskirts of the city, it is ideal time for a boom in manufacturing and services industry in Hyderabad. It is among the few cities in the country that has an excellent connectivity with the rest of the  world,” said Kaali Sudheer. The registration fees for the workshop is Rs 2,000 which includes course material.
