A woman attacked a security officer and bit his hand while trying to go back inside a plane in Lucknow after she was deboarded due to misbehaving with the crew and other passengers.
The incident took place on an Akasa Air flight bound for Mumbai.
According to Lucknow Joint Police Commissioner Akash Kulhari, the woman in question was constantly picking up fights with other passengers on the aircraft. Chaos ensued when the passengers complained to the crew and the woman passenger was deboarded.
She, however, refused to leave and tried to enter the aircraft forcibly. When the security guard tried to stop her, the woman bit his hand.
She then handed over to the police called to the spot by the female employees of the airline.
According to an India Today report, Kulhari noted the mental condition of the woman appeared not to be well.
A case under Section 504 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) (intentionally insulting or provoking to cause a breach of peace and public tranquillity) has been registered in the matter.
Lucknow Joint CP Kulhari noted that whether the mental condition of the woman was unstable would only be clear following a medical examination.
Earlier this month, a man, who attempted to use the ‘pillowcase hack’ to avoid paying for an extra carry-on bag, was stopped by airport security at Orlando International Airport, Florida.
According to a video of the incident shared on social media by a fellow co-passenger, the airport officials gave the man the option of paying for the extra luggage he concealed in the pillowcase, but he then tried to force his way onto the plane.
They said, “Bro, back away; we gave you a chance, and you didn’t pay for it,” and they ended up calling the police on him.
