BANGALORE/TUMKUR :Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has asserted that he will file the nomination papers for the elections to the Legislative Council on Monday. “There is no truth in the reports appearing in a section of the media that I am hesitant at contesting the elections. I am confident of winning the elections as we have a comfortable majority,” the CM told reporters here on Saturday before leaving for Tumkur. On the reported comeback of former CM B S Yeddyurappa, Gowda said, “You will see for yourself that all our leaders, including Yeddyurappa, will be present when I file my nomination papers.” The CM stoutly denied that the BJP is trying to buy MLAs as it feared large scale cross-voting. “No MLA would like to sell himself. I am confident that I will sail through easily. All our MLAs are loyal to the party,” Gowda said. He refused to comment on the claim made by B Sriramulu that he commands the confidence of 22 MLAs and would defeat the CM in the elections. Gowda also rubbished rumours of his paving way for his predecessor, B S Yeddyurappa.
