New Delhi: Conflicting reports are emerging about the issue of restoring Pakistan's ousted judges.
Pakistani media reports suggested there is little progress on the matter but sources in Dubai said the judges will be restored through a Parliamentary resolution.
There was no mention of the constitutional package which Asif Zardari has been insisting upon. Nor is it clear what happens to Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhary.
Details will be clear when Sharif addresses the media in Lahore on Friday. The sources also said that a formal declaration of what was agreed upon could be made only on Pakistani soil.
“The committee has made some progress. It has been decided and reiterated that the restoration of judges will take place as the murree declaration. There is no doubt about it and you will soon see the result of the same,” Sharif told the media.
