With Narendra Modi taking the oath office as the Prime Minster on Monday, his government faces a mammoth of expectations of the people of the country. The Bharatiya Janata Party led by Modi got a massive mandate in the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls paving the way for the four-time Gujarat Chief Minister to the post of the Prime Minister of the country.
IBNLive asked its readers about their expectations from the new administration. Here are a few comments that we received.
1. Corruption free and and want INDIA on top of the world.. i mean USA should follow INDIA :) : Vinay
2. A good Leader, knowing the situation very well should take Correct and Fast Decisions.
He should increase the Confidence of the Manufacturing sector (which is -ve today) and the improve the lifestyle of the farmers with complete development in Agriculture.

3. Reduce the Gap between rich and poor. Increase tax limit for middle class and tax the rich... : Zameer Khan
4. His first priority should be to bring back the black money stashed away abroad, especially in the Swiss banks. His next priority should be e-governance, wherein there is complete transparency in what the government is doing, which eliminates corruption. Also the message that reaches to the people is clear and unambiguous : Rama
5. To concentrate on Agriculture business. Particularly organic farming.. We will be super power if we do our agriculture properly.. our education system should also support it... In text books we study 70% of Indian population do agriculture but reality is different... : Veer
6. Should make compulsory free education to poor children (Mandatory) and special committee should be made to review by state wise. Country with maximum literacy rate will become super power nation so our country have to work on that..: Ganesh Ram
7. Modi Govt shud look at two things - Accountability and Transparency. Rest of the issues will get addressed by above : Shivanand Kamath
8. Modi should give first priority to the indian farmers and save the India from the commodity price increases and also give the preference to the sufficient power and oil supply to the people.
9. Modi Govt should have a glance on the conditions of public sanitation in st bus stands as well as on highways and take appropriate measures if they want to bring India bit at a level compared to USA and other developed nations. : Anonymous
