BANGALORE: Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Thursday submitted statements to the Special Court here on about 380 questions in more than five hours of hearing related to the alleged disproportionate assets case against her. B Kumar, advocate of Jayalalithaa, said the hearing in the trial started at 11 am and the first session ended at 2.15 pm, and it resumed at 2.45 pm and ended at 4.45 pm.Her statement was recorded before Judge BM Mallikarjunaiah. Kumar said that Jayalalithaa had answers to over 380 main questions. Sources said that she, in fact, answered around 400 questions, including supplementary queries.The hearing has been posted to Friday and the court has to finish the recording of statements within two days as the Supreme Court had specifically instructed, Kumar added.After the hearing, Jayalalithaa returned to Chennai on a special aircraft. She would visit Bangalore again on Friday to attend the hearing and to give her statements before the court. On Thursday, at 10.20 am, the Chief Minister landed at the HAL airport in the special aircraft. With a fleet of 10 vehicles carrying Z+ category security-men and police escorts, she arrived at the Parappana Agrahara court premises.“The trial went smoothly and she has to answer the remaining questions on Friday, out of 600 queries related to her alleged illegal assets,” Kumar said.
