THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Massive irregularities have been unearthed in a Vigilance raid conducted on the Corporation office here. According to sources, 47 cases of irregularities have been detected from here.The raid was conducted as part of a statewide raid on Corporation offices as per the directive of ADGP Vigilance Shankar Reddy.In Thiruvananthapuram the day-long raid unearthed massive irregularities such as undervaluing of properties for tax evasion. Apart from this, there were irregularities in restricting the building height and giving sanction for construction of new buildings. The norms have been found violated in the case of many high rise buildings. Though there are strict guidelines for restricting the constructions close to protected monuments, the Vigilance team found that in many places they have been violated and sanctions were given out of the way.
