Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Umashankar Gupta has written a letter to Railway Board Chairman Arunendra Kumar asking to provide proper railway facilities to people of Bhopal.
In view of problems of citizens, the Home Minister has urged the railway board, in a letter issued on Sunday, to introduce a weekly train every Friday from Habibganj to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai. Gupta said a number of passengers from Bhopal visit Lord Krishna's birthplace Mathura for Goverdhan Parikrama everyday.
Therefore, Bhopal Express should be halted at Mathura and reservation quota in the train should also be increased. The minister has also urged to increase rail facilities for people from Bhojpur area.
In the letter, Gupta mentioned that there is no proper rail facility for about 5 lakh Bhojpuri people living in and near Bhopal to visit their native areas in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and urged the board to introduce a convenient train.
