Two more Government bodies get bosses

PUDUCHERRY: Two MLAs of All India NR Congress (AINRC), PR Siva and P Karthigeyan, assumed office as chairman of Pondicherry Power Corporation and Pondicherry Slum Clearance Board, respectively, on Thursday.With this, all the ruling MLAs, except two, have been appointed to government posts.Other than the five ministerial berths, two have become Parliamentary Secretary to Chief Minister and Government Whip, while six others have been appointed as chairman of Pondicherry Industrial Promotion and Investment Development Corporation (PIPDIC), Pondichery Agro Services and Industrial Corporation Limited (PASIC) and Pondicherry Distilleries Limited.Ashok Anand, who has been appointed as chairman of PASIC, is yet to assume charge.However, T Thiagrajan and TPR Selvam are yet to be appointed to any government post.  There is still a ministerial post vacant as well as chairman posts in several corporations.
