HYDERABAD: Hours after a walking student had died on the railway tracks near Kacheguda on Monday after being hit from behind by a train, two women were knocked down by a speeding train while walking aside the railway tracks near Borabanda railway station on Tuesday. The two along with three others were walking on the tracks and were so deeply engrossed in conversation that they did not hear or see the train, police said. One of the victims, Ch Danamma (55), was a resident of Anand Nagar in Erragadda. Her relative, A Balamani (38), came from Cherlagudem in Medak district along with three other women, Roja, Kanthamma and Mallamma, to buy bank demand draft. “After completing the bank work, all the women boarded an MMTS train at Nampally and alighted at Borabanda. They started walking along the tracks and were deeply involved in conversation when a speeding train coming from behind hit two of them,’’ railway police said.
