The interrogation of suspected al-Qaeda terrorist has revealed a major terror plot. According to sources, Syed Anzar Shah Qazmi who was arrested from Bengaluru has confessed during the investigation that top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are on the hit-list of the terror group.
The Delhi Police had arrested Qazmi on charges of being part of al-Qaeda in the Indian Sub-continent. According to sources, the man was picked up from Bengaluru and was produced in Patiala House court on Thursday. He has been taken into police custody till January 20.
Qazmi's political connections had been under the police scanner for a while.
According to sources, al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) is planning a major terror strike in the country.
