Victoria and David Beckham will host pre-world cup charity auction, to raise funds for UNICEF in their mansion.

London: Victoria and her English skipper husband David Beckham are to host a pre-world cup charity auction which is expected to raise money for UNICEF.

Victoria, the former member of girl band Spice Girls, has managed to gather donated items worth over £two million, which will be auctioned off during Full Length and Fabulous party at the Beckham's Hertfordshire mansion on May 21, 2006.

"David and Victoria are doing all they can to ensure that the party will be spectacular, but they're also determined to raise as much cash as possible," Female first quoted an insider, as telling Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper.

"There will be dozens of high rollers there, and David and Victoria want to make sure their cash burns a hole in their pockets," the insider added.

Items for sale include a pair of diamond encrusted his and hers watches, a diamond necklace and a limited edition Bentley car worth £300,000.

"When Victoria was in New York recently, she went to see the Jacob and Co designer to twist his arm so he'd donate something for the auction. She came back with two of the most expensive watches the company makes," said the source.

"And the Bentley has every conceivable gadget. The footballers present are bound to be trying to outbid each other for it as there will be no more made for sale," the source added.

British TV star Graham Norton will host the event, while celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is to prepare the food and singers including Robbie Williams and James Brown are set to perform a duet.

Guests include the entire England football squad, Prince Charles, singer Sir Elton John, British actress Liz Hurley and Hollywood actor Tom Cruise.
