The monsoon season is the best time to visit waterfalls, as it is the most active and lively during this period. A dam project in Telangana is gaining attention among the locals for its waterfall release, which is now a favourite tourist spot. Let us take a look. As per the reports of Local18, it is called the Ramadugu project, which is located in the Dharpally mandal, under the district of Nizamabad. On one side, it is filled to the brim with water, while the other boasts of a lush green field, creating a scenic view. In the last 3 to 4 years, it has been reported to overflow. According to a tourist named Sarvani, they visit the place every year to gaze at the breathtaking sight, their family loves watching the waterfalls. The place is visited by locals from nearby villages, more information states. They believe that if the area is developed as a full-fledged tourist spot, a number of people will love to come here. At the moment, it is the only project in the region, visited by people only on weekends.

Local18 states further that 6,100 acres of land is to be irrigated under the project. Through the right canal, around 4,300 acres of land in the regions of Dharpally, Bheengal and Velpur, are expected to be irrigated. The canal extends to a length of 25 kilometres and only 11 kilometres of it is the CC (Cement Concrete) lining. Since it was laid 25 years ago, it was clogged from a lot of places and the water did not reach the last ayacut.

Through the left canal, 1800 acres of land will be irrigated at Dichpally and Jakranpalle. The 9-kilometre-long canal does not have a CC line at all. The farmers have requested the government to CC line the canal up to the Prati canal.
