TD and YSRC activists clash before Babus rally

TIRUPATI: Mild tensions prevailed at the Gandhi statue near the RTC bus station on Monday, when TDP and Telugu Yuvatha activists chased a group of YSR Congress activists sloganeering against Chandrababu Naidu and tried to obstruct his convoy.About a dozen YSRC activists took out a protest rally in opposite direction of the convoy between Ambedkar and Gandhi statues.They carried placards stating Naidu has no rights to comment on anti-corruption as he himself was corrupt.The YSRC cadre had taken offence at the repeated verbal attacks by Naidu against Jagan.Getting irritated, TDP and Telugu Yuvatha activists went after them.The TDP activists chased the YSRC men till the railway station before the path was cleared for TDP leader’s convoy.
