There may be some hope for students whose recruitment was cancelled by L&T Infotech. Tamil Nadu government has assured students that it will hold discussions with the company to clear the impasse.
The students had approached the Tamil Nadu IT Department after L&T Infotech had rejected the Offer of Intent letters to at least 1500 students.
Some of these students claim that they were given tentative joining dates between September and December 2015. One and a half years later they were asked by L&T Infotech to appear for an assessment test.
The students claim that the company said it was just a performance-based test that would help them choose the domains for these students. However, a total of 1500 students were rejected after the test.
The students had been forced to go on a hunger strike demanding justice alleging that the IT company kept assuring them of a job but later backed out.
